Easy Swedish Meatballs Recipe – How to Make Enough Meatballs for a Crowd without Breaking a Sweat!
Sometimes you need to make something to take to a party, or to feed a small crowd, but don’t have time to cook because there are a zillion other things to do.
Don’t get overwhelmed, make these yummy Swedish meatballs and everyone will think you were at the stove for hours. Make good use of those frozen meatballs that are convenient and delicious.
Party takeout is great for many occasions, but so are these easy Swedish meatballs that are ready in about 30 minutes and will feed a small crowd! Next time you have a party or event, whip up these tasty meatballs and you won’t be disappointed!
Costco has a great deal on Kirkland frozen meatballs that are perfect for this recipe. You could use any frozen meatball, but the Costco meatballs are definitely our favorites.
Ingredients Needed for Swedish Meatballs using Costco Frozen Meatballs
- Frozen Meatballs – We love Costco Kirkland Italian Style Meatballs but any frozen meatball will work just fine.
- Heavy Cream
- Butter
- Fresh Garlic
- Nutmeg
- Salt & Pepper
How to Make crockpot Swedish meatballs using frozen meatballs
STEP 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
STEP 2. Spread meatballs out on 2 separate baking trays or cookie sheets. Bake for 20 minutes or until meatballs are heated through.
STEP 3. Using a large skillet, gently cook garlic in melted butter for about 3 minutes.
STEP 4. Stir in the heavy cream, nutmeg and a little salt & pepper. Let simmer on low for about 2-3 minutes.
STEP 5. Add half of the baked meatballs to the skillet and gently stir to coat all of the meatballs with sauce.
STEP 6. Using a slotted spoon, remove the meatballs and place into a crockpot.
STEP 7. Add the remaining meatballs to the skillet and stir to coat with sauce. Add the coated meatballs to the crockpot. Pour any remaining sauce over meatballs and set crockpot to warm.
You can even serve directly from the crockpot for the perfect Swedish Meatball Appetizer.
